EPG Channel Lineup Change Order

We now only use HD200 to watch TV, not sure if that has any impact on what we want to do.. Will this only work at main computer/server?
I want a simple safe way to do this.
I found this in a search and would like to change the order of our EPG. Put ABC NBC Fox CBS etc grouped together. Kids channels together. Currently I need to page up and down to find the 4 networks as they are several channels apart.

I read

putting a non-numeric channel number into the remap may get the EPG in the order you wish, but it has a couple of problems:
it does not allow you to put a specific channel on a specific number: ie 1=BBC2, 2=BBC2 3=ITV1, 4=CH4 etc...
you cannot change to that channel in LiveTV using Ch+/Ch- (pgUp/PgDn)
you cannot change to that channel using a numeric remote

Don't fully understand following.

If I want to put a letter in front of the channel number in channel setup will it work on our HD200 Ok. Will recordings be fine etc?

Is the field I change "Map to different Logical Channel Number" in 'channel setup' 'remap'?

Can I use A-14 or B 21 ?

Favorite Channels List

This will allow you to create multiple channel lists and title them what you want. Group them and order them any way you want. Then when you are in the guide you can cycle thru or pick what lists you want. When you do these re the only channels you see and in the order you want them in. Create a Kids list. A Sports list. The WIfe's List. Sort them any way you want. Read the manual and go to the support thread to make sure yo have the latest. You can store the lists on the server so any client can have access to the same lists.

I've been looking for something exactly like this. Is there a flavour of it out there that will work in SageMC 16x9?
