Cinemaster Codec?
Is there anywhere to download the cinemaster codec in a trial version or anything alse? I downloaded the trial of Cineplayer 1.5 and when I select the Sonic Cinemaster codec in Sage I get an MPEG error that says the codec could not be located? The sonic cineplayer plays bacj the sagetv files fine on it's own but I can't get the codec to work within Sage... I would consider purchasing the codec but I would like to see the quality within Sage first.
Thanks, Rob |

If you have Theatertek installed on your system, that codec will show up and works great with sage. Never tried to install it except with Theatertek

Bump. I am having the exact same error. Did you ever find out what the problem was, Rob? Anybody else?

you have to register the decoder/program to get them to work in Sage

Thanks, I searched the forum but missed that thread. I went ahead and bought the Sonic codec but the registration code they gave me won't work. I get an error that the code is for a different product. Now I have to wait until Tuesday when their tech support opens.

did you buy the decoder pack and not cineplayer
thats probably the issue there is the DVD decoder pack and cineplayer which both use the same codec you do not the cineplayer it just cost more money so if you spent only 15 dollars you only bought the DVD decoder pack and need to uninstall the cineplayer trial and install the DVD decoder pack http://www.cineplayer.com/decoder/de...www.google.com |

Yes, I just bought the decoder pack and I did previously try the Cineplayer trial. I suspect that has something to do with the error but I did uninstall the CP trial before installing the decoder pack.

I had the same problem, and this is what Tech Support at Sonic advised: (it worked for me - reg file is attached)
Hi Rob, I've attached a zip file to my email, please download and unzip this file and do the following: Uninstall anything with Ravisent, CineMaster, CinePlayer or DVD Player Run the reg file Reboot your system Reinstall your CinePlayer If you need to re-download your installation file you can do so at this link: http://patches.sonic.com/cineplayer/...-ETail-155.exe Please let me know how it works out. Thank you, Effie Tagkalidis Technical Support |
