SageTV 6.4.8 does not remember custom AR

I had the service stopped and edited my hd100 property file in clients dir...
Everything saves fine but the HD100 shows only 1 custom AR.
I even restarted the server and hd100


on a different note:
Why does FILL only works with pvr1600 and not with hdpvr recordings?

I don't think your link is the post you meant to refer to.

You can add multiple custom ARs to a single property line in the extender's property file, found in the 'clients' subdirectory of the dir where sagetv.exe is located. this editing must be done while the extender is not actively connected to the server.

Or, you can interactively edit custom ARs during video playback if you are using the default STV.

Why does FILL only works with pvr1600 and not with hdpvr recordings?

The HDPVR records the STB output... what is its output? If it is a SD channel & the box is outputting HD with borders on both sides of the SD image, those borders are getting recorded.

So there is no way to stretch the sd from HDPVR.
I do not need exact stretch.Anything that will fill the screen and not burn in my plasma wpuld be fine.

You need to have a custom AR mode that zooms into the 4x3 portion of the 16x9 recording.

Here are some examples from a list I have that you could try starting from. They are all just individual lines in this post, so you would have to add them to a property line separated by ; if you want to try them, or interactively edit the values to be the same as shown here. The '2' versions often just zoom in a bit more on all sides or use a different stretch mode.

Access to the AR Mode selection dialog starts around p. 116 of the v6.5 PDF manual & continues around p. 118. It doesn't go into great detail about all the custom AR mode options that you can edit. I suggest starting by creating a new AR mode to edit by copying an existing mode, then play around with the settings to get used to what they do.

Just put it in standby... that's all I do.

Followed the FAQ.
Sage only remembers 1 custom AR at the time
If I put more it only shows the first one in the file.
I guess that is fine. I need to use 4x3 stretch.

You can have more than 1 custom AR mode on that property line.

Did you separate each one with a semicolon? (definition1;definition2;...)

Did you edit the properties file with a plain text editor w/o line wrapping?

Are you using the default STV?
