MediaInfo says it's a VC-1 (WMV3) (MP@HL) file but you probably knew that already.

The file played back fine (w/o hwa) in Sage. I'm going to play with it some more (I'm curious if there's a container that will give HWA and retain the audio).

My issue was video, not audio, with EVR and hw acceleration. Using VMR9 the video plays. Audio played but the video was corrupt (see SS)

The WMV DMO doesn't HWA VC-1 decode in most cases, so that is normal even w/ HW that supports VC-1 HWA.

If your proc can handle the decode it should work with either renderer.

I'm confused again, I thought VMR9 used HWA too? Why would VMR9 work (not just these VC-1 files either) and not EVR?
