Watch Youtube or Video Podcasts

Hi,

Is there a way to watch youtube or video podcasts through sagetv and the HD200 extender? I am receiving my extender and sagetv software today and would love to be able to watch my favorite videos through it.

thanks,

That's covered as part of the Online Services menu, available in SageTV whether you are using SageTV on a PC or on an extender. The HD200's standalone mode has it too.

Is there anyway to watch the YouTube videos in HD? Seems like all I get is SD.

Go into Detailed Setup-Customize-Online Video Setup and choose HD720p.

When's the last time you've been there? 19,300 hits on YouTube for HD720 alone. 341,00 hits for HD video.

I thought it was automatic. Is this only for stand-alone or for server mode also?

"HD 720p " is the default option, so unless someone changed it, that's what it should still be. It will automatically try to download the lower res versions if the higher res versions are not available.

This is for SageTV v6.5 and it has also been in the firmware for the HD200's standalone mode since early December.
