IMDB does not change imported video thumb nail
I'm not sure when it happened but now, when I set up the info and image for an imported video using IMDB in SageMC, the image thumbnail change is not reflected when I view my list of videos. The thumbnail that SageTV got from the video its self remains.
This must have worked in the past but has now stopped.

SageTV caches images once they have been accessed for performance reasons. The SageTV UI must be restarted to clear the image cache. Then the IMDB image should appear.

MeInMaui,
Does this NOT work for certain file types? I remember some some .avi and such show only a frame from the video. |

Are you sure you installed the latest/greatest *FULL* SageMC (20+ mb) rather than just the upgrade pack (~1 mb)?
Also, do you use a proxy or anything like that? |

No, no proxy that I'm aware of, just a basic router and cable modem. I am pretty sure I installed the large file, as everything else works, and I remember having to wade through files and forums to figure out what I was supposed to install, and in what order. I did install MC quite a while ago. At the moment I am downloading the lastest... (as far as I can tell) full install. I am going to try to reinstall that. Hopefully, it will just write over any files that I may have inadvertently messed up.
I don't plan on deleting anything, I hope that in of itself doesn't cause more issues.. fingers crossed. But from your questions, I gather that the IMDB is supposed to work out of the box, so to speak? I read in some forum here that IMDB changed its protocol in some way or fashion, and that you need to load a new jar file. Is that true for the SageMC 16x9 6.3.8a? I originally assumed this was my problem and tried installing this plugin, but looking back at the directions for the plugin, I did it wrong. I was having problems before this though, and installing this plugin, even incorrectly hasn't changed the error message. Thanks for the help, I will let you know how it goes. As far as the proxy, that is a little above my realm of knowledge. I did have to reserve a ip address on one of my PC's on my network, so I could do some port forwarding, or something like that. All the other PC's are DHCP. (think that is the right acronymn) Which seems to work fine, browser and all that, no problems. I also have pandora, and netflix plugins working without a hitch too. So I am guessing that isn't the issue. ....little chatty.. sorry... Me thinks it has to do with the attempt at not smoking. |

Thanks evilpenguin. Once again, as per usual, you prove to be a genius. Although I am sure that I did install the full package, reinstalling worked like a charm. I don't think I would have done this without your question about whether I installed the full MC package.
-Thanks again. |
