Questions about transcoding for HD200.

How do I know when the server has to transcode for the HD200? I'm thinking about a processor upgrade, to help with general encoding tasks and if it would help with transcoding (and I knew I did that a lot), it would push me more in that direction or at least let me see what my CPU usage is while it's happening.

Also, I'm using a Sage server on Linux, does the transcoding-on-the-fly benefit from multiple cores? I don't want to go from dual core 2.4GHz, to a quad core 1.8Ghz only to have it leave me in a worse spot.

The server only has to transcode the formats the HD200 don't support natively. Since the HD200 handles most of them there isn't alot of transcoding the server needs to do for the HD200.

Right, I knew that. I was just hoping for an example or indication and more information about it. Is the transcoding multithreaded?
