What settings with HD-PVR for PC?

Ever since I installed the HD-PVR, watching liveTV on my PC has been very slow to load up and the video isn't that smooth. My HD extenders play great though. Problem is isolated to the PC. I even deleted my virus scanner temporarily to see if that was the cause, and it wasn't. So I must need to tweak the settings. What is the recommended decoder and video settings when running a setup with an HD-PVR, HVR-1800 connected via QAM and STB?

Try the Arcsoft decoders that came with it.

Still having same problem. Let me provide more detail:
I have Sage sleeping in the system tray. When I restore it and try to view liveTV, no matter which Tuner, it takes longer than usual to load up the tuner, once the tuner is loaded, I can change channels quickly, unless I select a channel from a different tuner, then I have to wait for it to load that tuner.

What videocard do you have. I am guessing to play high definition, you need a good videocard. I have got a Nvidia Geforce 8800 GTS, and it works fine.NVIDIA PureVision are very efficient to reduce the cpu loads...
