Run SageTV instead of Vista MC

I cant seem to find simple instructions on this, although there is a XP thread based on what I want to do

Basically I would like to use SageTV instead of Vista MCE

So pressing the "Green Button`on remote, that would start SageTV

SageTV would replace all the Vista MC modules (My Music, Video etc.)


SageTV would respond to MediaCenter Remote and keyboard

So- how do I do this?

One final question regarding playback of retail R1 Blu-Rays
Currently I have a version of Arcsoft TMT which integrates with VistaMCE, is a specific menu item in Vista interface, and starts automatically in MC mode when Blu-Ray inserted

What about automatic play of BluRays if I make the changes above (without using options like AnyDVD/HD)

Any help or links to other threads appreciated

Is there an updated planned for SageTVlauncher to work under Windows 7? I just installed the software under Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit and it still launches WM center. Pressing the guide button brings up the sage guide but it also launches the WM center guide. My install uses all of the default settings.

Uninstall 7MC. Control Panel - Programs and Features - Turn Windows features on/off

That should stop the remote from doing anything 7MC related. If SageTVLauncher doesn't launch Sage I know LM RKM will do it under Win7 as I am using it myself for that purpose.

It works perfectly in Windows 7, but as you note you need to disable 7MC.

If for some reason you need to leave it enabled there is another way to stop 7MC from launching when TGB is pressed but it's more involved.
