Reciving Black & Picture in SageTV with hauppauge WINTV-HVR-1800

Hello to everyone and thanks for trying to help me out,

I have a Weird problem -
Im using the hauppauge WINTV-HVR-1800 card.
its connected directly to a video source trough s-video cable.
when i open Sagetv 6.4 i see black and white picture. and the picture is also jumping.
when i open wintv (that i installed from the hauppauge CD) I receive color picture in very good quality.
also i Installed beyond tv for checking it out and guess what ? I also receive full colur picture with good quality.

i guess it means that the card is working and don't have any HW problem and the problem is probably software issue.

I tried to select PAL and NTSC from the wizard but no luck. same issue.
i know that the tv here using PAL B\G for the broadcasting.

I hope someone will be able to help me out with this issue.

I used to have MCE-150 that was working great with sagetv with the same s-video cable.

It sounds like you've selected the composite input instead of the s-video input.

I discovered that one the hard way too
