Hauppauge WinTV PVR 350 and "Enable UI on TV Out" locks up SageTV

Hello,

I am using SageTV 6.2 with a WinTV PVR 350 which is being used for both the capture and TV out. Everything works fine but as soon as I enable the "enable ui on tv out" setting, the TV output stops and SageTV locks up.

I really want this mode as I want to take the computer monitor away. Is there anything I need to do to make this work?

Many thanks.

Ian.

Is this your problem? Or are you not able to play a file at all via the TV-out?

No, the whole thing locks up as soon as I select "Watch Live TV" after enabling the UI on TV Out. Disabling it and doing the same works perfectly.

Thanks for the reply.

Ian.

OK, I'd try to first determine if it's a driver issue or a sage issue.

Can you use the TV out with the hauppauge software? I seem to recall that it supports the tv out.

The TV Out works fine, both with WinTV and with Sage. The problem occurs as soon as I enable the "Enable UI settings on TV Out" option in sage.

Oh, sorry. Got it.

I'm afraid I probably can't be of more help, then. Mine had issues with the end of file bug, but played files with the UI just fine.

I've given up and purchased a new video board that has an s-video connector on it.

Thanks for your help.

Can you tell us what board you purchased for s-video out, and how is the quality compared to an MVP (if you can compare it?)

Thanks!
