What do the different SageTV Settings files do?

OK, to keep my shows and settings I know I have to save/transfer/backup the files:
  • sage.properties
  • wiz.bin
  • wiz.bak
My question is, what does each one do? I am transferring my Sage server to a new system and am trying to keep the list of shows we want to record, as well as some of the recorded shows, but probably not all of the properties settings. Maybe just remote commands. From my understanding shows and shows to be recorded are in the wiz.bin file, so I should just copy that? Could we get a quick reference added to one of the FAQ's that talks about the settings files, or it's own FAQ I guess?

Thanks.

At a high level:

- wiz.bin is the main database that stores all of the recorded show info and a list of your favorites.

- wiz.bak is an automatically generated backup of wiz.bin.

- sage.properties stores all of the UI settings and tuner settings.

If you are moving machines you need to save the wiz.bin but re-create sage.properties after the conversion.

See the FAQ about moving recordings because the wiz.bin will assume your recordings are in certain places (paths) and if they are not there (because the directory names have changed on your new machine) it will confuse Sage.
