EPG Data
Hi today when I went to use my live tv guide in sage (6.4.8.184) almost every channel on it showed no data. A few of the channels had show name for the current show but everything else showed no data. I tried rebooting sage and vista but that didn't help. I even removed my sources and reinstalled them and I still get no data in the guide. I was wondering if there was anyway to force a epg update or if anyone has any other ideas for this. Thanks

You previously had full EPG data? If so, check this FAQ for possible solutions.
Or, is this a new installation? It can take a while for all the data to download the first time. - Andy

I'm on dish network and i've had sage running fine since june. The last xml file i added was the netflix plugin but that was a week ago. I also tried using my wiz.bak file but this also did not work. I also removed the properties from the 'server_update_id' in the sage properties file. I still have to try to add a different provider for my source after that I dont know

Are you sure a firewall didn't get turned on it's blocking the ports needed for EPG update?

Well last night when my sage does its daily epg update all of tha data came back. I think it might of been a zap2it problem with my selected channel provider (Dish Network-Lincoln), because when I ran the debug logger I came across some lines that said the epg loaded. So everything is back to working like a champ now.
