Aero Question

I am currently testing SageTV with Vista business version using the Cyberlink DVD 8 decoder fo both MPEG2 and H264. Everytime I boot SageTV Vista informes me that Sage is not compaitable and its has changed from Aero to Basic. Is there a way to prevent this from happening or should I not be concerned about it. In reading some post I see a suggestion to change the ui/window_title_style=0 to 10 but this then creates a window with a border at the top and other then the border doesn't seem to make a difference. So again do I not worry about this. The video look quit good so no complaints there.

older versions of Java used to trigger it, update your version to 11 if you haven't already, and make sure you have sagetv set to display in VMR9 (or EVR if you are using the RC) instead of overlay.

I am using Java release 11 and video renderer is set to EVR. I am using beta release 6.5.5 . Your reference ro RC is that the beta Release candidate?

just change ui/window_title_style back to zero after you run once with it set to 10. Exit sage before changing of course. Don't know why it works, but it always has for me.

As a result of your suggestion I did a complete reboot and as of now the sytem is using SageTV in Aero mode . Not sure if it will stay this way or not but will keep monitoring it.

One other point I am using comskip with JREkiwi STVi for the standard STV, so not sure if this would have any effect on this issue.
