Setup Question
I am new to SageTV and am getting some odd problems which may or may not be related.
1. SageTV seems to hang until it can stop Aero from running. I see the following message in the event viewer "A request to disable the Desktop Window Manager was made by process (SageTV)". 2. I can only use the video playback setting of "Medium" or lower. This seems strange considering the computer's specifications (Core Duo 3.0 Ghz/e8400, 8GB RAM, 9800GTX, 150 GB Raptor + 1.2TB RAID 5, Vista 64 Ultimate). The computer is connected to a 1080p flat panel via HDMI and has a dedicated cable box. I would think this would be sufficient to run the more advanced settings. When I try anything above medium and run the test, the video does not play and SageTV locks up - I have to kill it from the task manager. The same thing seems to happen if I just try to play a video and Aero fails to get disabled, so I am not sure if the two are related or not. Thanks! |
