Replacement DVB-T suggestions

Ive had (almost) everything working fine with my sageTV client/server system for about 6 months now but once in a while the server will wake up from hibernation to record or update the EPG and the tuners on the Nova-T-500 PCI card will fail to initialise properly. This is a known problem and its usually enough to have a batch file run on wake-up that just stops/waits a bit/restarts the sageTV service (a delay of about 8 seconds used to be enough).

I guess like many SageTV users, I set up the server to record several programs over the festive period while I was away visiting family. Unfortunately the issue surfaced again with several programs failing to record (and with the WAF plummeting accordingly). So Im now looking for a replacement, preferably dual, DVB-T tuner. Anyone have any reccomendations? I would prefer PCI/PCI-E solutions as my previous experience with the Nova-T-500 PCI (which is basically a PCI card interfacing to two USB tuners) has made me wary of USB devices when they are used in a hibernating system.

I can highly recommend the one I have got :

Terratec Cinergy 2400iDT

It is a PCI-E card with a double tuner, officially supported by Sage.

I am confused. You have added this question onto a topic about DVB-T (Freeview) tuners but in the UK there is no DVB-T HD service. Are you referring to DVB-S (Freesat)? In which case it would make more sense to start a new topic or contiinue a relevant topic.

I believe he is referring to a DVB-T or DVB-T2 tuner which can receive the mpeg4 (some of of which are HD) terrestrial broadcasts.

I am also thinking about this.

I believe though that if mpeg4 is sent over DVB-T then our current tuners should be able to receive them.

DVB-T is mpeg2 currently here in Greece but a new service in mpeg4 is coming in a couple of months.

Thanks for the replys. Lucas you are correct. To explain my situation better. I am in ireland and can receive four local channels in hd using a kworld usb stick which sadly does not work with sage. I am looking for a usb device which is compatible. I have no space on my motherboard for any more cards so hence I need a usb device. Any advice would be appreciated.
