HD-PVR Setup Documentation

I'm looking for documentation on how to setup the HD-PVR with SageTV (Windows). I've been using SageTV with multiple MediaMVPs and the PVR-500 for 3+ years, and it has been rock solid. This is a part of my move to High Definition.

I purchased the HD-PVR from Buy.com - software is installed and can configure Sage to see the capture device - just need a little help getting the IR blaster configured. Do I just use USB-UIRT drivers for this? I've never used a blaster before.

Any pointers in the right direction would be appreciated...
Thanks

The Hauppauge blasters use Hauppauge's own IR blaster config program, which you need to configure & then keep running. SageTV should then be able to see that as an option when configuring the tuner, but some people have reported problems getting the Hauppauge IR receiver/blaster software running with the HD-PVR in some situations.

The USB-UIRT is a specific piece of hardware, not a generic term for an IR blaster, and very well could work better than the Hauppauge blaster, especially if you need to control multiple boxes. There are links to more info here:
Information Resources for Remotes, Receivers, and IR Blasters

Or, look into firewire or serial control of the box for channel changing.

Thanks for the prompt reply. Is the Hauppauge IRBlast.exe application the one you're speaking of?
