a few questions

I have been looking into sage for a long time now and have a few questions (further ones from my last thread).

I would really appreciate any help and/or guidance that is given.
  1. Can I play FM Radio through Sage (fm capture card)?
  2. Can I have an IPTV Channel work the same as a tv channel in sage?
  3. Could I use internet radio through sage?
  4. If I could have FM Radio through Sage could I have a video feed accompanying it?
  5. If I have a MediaMVP do I get full sage functionality (as if I were on a PC Client) or is it limited like with MythTV?
  6. Are SCART connectors/cables used in the US?
  7. Could CCTV be put into Sage for distribution purposes (not recording)?
  8. Could I have any in-house TV Channels?
  9. What format would IPTV channels (like an actual stream - not VIA any stb) have to be streamed/encoded in for them to work?

I know that some of these questions are rather random... =D

Thanks

I can't answer all of your questions specifically but in general, what I know is:

-There are some plug-ins for some internet streaming radio, check the customizations forum. As of right now, they only "really" work on server or client PCs, but there is a "hack" for extenders if you have an analog tuner free (basically, you take your audio card "out", plug it into your tuner card "in", and manually assign that stream a "channel" in your program guide, then tune to that "channel").

-You might be able to get your FM radio tuner card to work in the same manner as the "hack" above, but you would need some sort of plug-in to be able to tune it in Sage (and I don't think there is one... or at least one that has been updated to more recent Sage versions). You could always use the "hack" and manually start it on your PC, then just turn to the "channel" in Sage and play it.

-Some CCTV sources do show up as a "tuner", and can be mapped to a channel in Sage. YMMV.

Sorry that isn't much help, but at least it's a "brief overview".
