Usb-urit using convert box

OK i have looked and seen some talk about it my question comes down before i buy a usb-urit is can it control the convert box i know my harmony remote thinks its a sat box but still controls it but i have a happ. 350 and my machine right now is kind of older and i dont want to make the jump just yet to update everything they way i want to when i do so wondering if that would work

as well my other ? is i have to converter box but only one hap. 350 card i know i can Add an additional audio/video input cable but i want to know if i can use that and a tv in at the same time to recored 2 shows at a time.

Are you talking one of the new Digital TV converter boxes? IMO a much, much better way to go is to get an ATSC tuner for your PC, then you don't have to deal with converter boxes at all. The HD Homerun is an awesome tuner, and I've heard good things about the Hauppauge HVR-1250.

But to answer your actual question, yes the UIRT should be able to control a digital converter box.

yea i like both those options but right now i dont want to spend the money on hd homer. i plan on getting 2 of those plus 2 happ. 2250 when i go all out but just for right now i wanted to use the convert box that are new i got for free

I think an HVR1250 is about the same cost as a USB-UIRT.

lol thanks though right now that is my main issue i am using a older board right now that does not take pci e and that is in the upgrade after i am don with another project when i can do all that but i am still wondering if u can use the 350 to use to record 2 show at one time one using the coxail cable input and the other one using the a/v input

There are PCI options too.
