Stutter during fast camera?
I notice a horrible stuttering during fast camera movement. You notice it so much while watching hockey. I had the problem with 1.4 but as soon as I switched to the cyberlink decoder the problem went away.
The cyberlink decoder does not fix the problem in sage tv 2? I have trien enabling and disabling hardware acceleration. I have played with all the mpeg settings, have tried the bob, weave, and bob and weave settings. I've tried it all with no success. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks |

I think I've got the same issues - video is jerky during fast action or camera moves. It's mostly noticable in the bottom 1/3 of the screen.
If I play the file (either from a real DVD, or ripped DVD files) in PowerDVD, it works great! But from Sage, I get the jaggies... My recorded shows seem to be OK, though. Does Reclock affect just audio sync problems? or does it fix this kind of video issue, too? Thx- RenHoek PS> I've tried using the following decoders: PowerDVD, Intervideo (Haupauge), Sonic Cinemaster, Elecard HW: Epia M10000 w/Svideo & SPDIF out, PVR-250 in |

Hey I just want to make sure with reclock
frames per sec are 29.97 for NTSC? and is it the same for DVD or is it 24 frames per sec I cannot remember but the program seems to be doing what you said no more weird frame drops Now all I need is for SageTV or some other utility to stop the rare but annoying tear in the picture |

Are you using VMR9? I get tearing with VMR9 also, works fine in overlay though. There might not be anything Sage can do about tearing, it could just be your video card not being fast enough.

If you notice tearing in Sage and not in another application, make sure both are using VMR9 or both using Overlay for the comparison. VMR9 is know to have tearing bugs.

I am using VMR9, and I would think my video card is fast enough
I think it is a bug but related to individual decoders Cineplayer I get rare tears ATI cyberlink picture is jumpy during panning or any camera motion Elecard have not seen any tearing but the deinterlacers are not as good as Sonic Cinemaster most of the time I use Sonic so I have not done alot of testing with the other two My video card is a 9600XT only been around since Christmas http://www.tomshardware.com/graphic/20031015/ |

Reclock is reporting 30.000fs for the show I'm watching right now.
DVDs should be 23.97 |

narflex posted this registry modification to fix the tearing problem with VMR 9 some time ago. I don't have the link. I searched for VMR9 tearing. It worked for me.
To fix tearing issues with the VMR9, make the following registry change: HKLM\Software\Frey Technologies\SageTV\DirectX9\PresentationInterval=1 |

Whoah... Cyberlink = PowerDVD, right? I thought PowerDVD didn't support VMR9.

kny3twalker, if you have a chance, with your ATI Cyberlink video decoder, see whether the OSD that popup up when you are watching a show is transparent or opaque. If opaque then you aren't really getting VMR9. If transparent then you are getting VMR9. I'm a bit curious as to whether you have a version of Cyberlink that supports VMR9 or not.

The Reclock Audio Renderer is a nice way to get rid of a certain kind of video stutter that has been called, "microstutter."
And while we're on the subject, Reclock cannot tell 29.97 and 23.97 apart, can it? |

Well with ATI cyberlink it is TRANSPARENT!
VMR9 with no stupid active window And looks pretty darn good I still cannot decide between what decoder to use and the best way to configure them But like ATI, Cineplayer, and Elecard Also can someone please tell what the original value is in the presentation interval I changed mine to one and did not like the effects So I changed back to Zero but the binary data is not the same any more I would really appreciste it, my picture seems more jittery now than before the change |
