PowerDVD8 Codecs

Recently, I moved to Vista Ultimate and a new MB on my HTPC, with an Nvidia 8600GT card and PowerDVD8 codecs, using EVR. I am seeing what I can best describe as a "ghosting" effect with motion on 1080i content. All other content (including BluRay) is fine. When I switch to the Microsoft codec, things are fine (although still not entirely smooth). I never had these problems using the same hardware with XP, VMR9 and Purevideo. Has anyone else had the same problem? I don't remember the MB model, but I think it's an ASUS 780g model.

I'm guessing that if you are using Vista with EVR that you are using the 6.5.X beta? Take a look through the beta forum section, I think I remember some tips/tweaks for ghosting with EVR (something like lowering noise reduction, etc in nVidia control panel).

Tried that - both sliders are at 0. I've tried various combinations there, but nothing made any difference.

Also, if it means anything, the Sage decoders exhibit the same symptoms (motion artifacts/ghosting). Would upgrading from my 8600GT make any difference? How about the on-board HD3200?
