Increasing Audio Delay

I have the newest SageTV Download running on

Athlon 64 x2 4000+
2gb of ram
Seagate SATA 3gb/s 320gb HDD
MSI Mobo
Hauppauge HVR-1600
Hauppauge USB-2

When I first start watching the TV the audio is synced, but as I watch the audio gets a delay increasing with time.

Any Ideas?

Any luck?

Hey! Did you ever get this resolved? I am having the same problem on a new XP build with the most current version of SageTV. My previous build didn't have this problem so I'm not sure what is going on.

Thanks

It sounds like you have only one physical hard drive. Is the hard drive partitioned into two parts, one for the operating system and other programs, and the other partition for video files? If so, is the video partition formatted in 64K blocks?

I think most people use separate hard drives for their video files. The video separate drives or drive arrays are formatted at 64k blocks.

If you don't use 64k blocks, video stuttering can occur. I haven't heard of an audio delay, increasing over time, occurring. However, if you are not using 64K blocks for video, it is worth trying.

Check my system config. I have a A\V Sync issue with the HD-PVR through USB when I have my VIP612 SPDIF set for Dolby Digital. First the AV is in sync then delay increases but if you wait long enough you will see that the delay is moving back and forth. This is a known issue with DISH VIP612 interacting with the Hauppauge HD-PVR.

This problem is fixed by setting the DISH VIP612 SPDIF Out to 2.0 Stereo.

Other than that I have not seen any A/V Sync issues in the last year.
