Sage client lagging when recording through guide.
Running into difficulty with this one.
Current network consists of the following Sageserver 2 clients(one xp pro one vista home premium. The XP system has lower specifications) Server consists of 2 150's and a single 250 along with a hd homerun. The XP client can tune and view the channels fairly quickly, hdhomerun channels take about 3 seconds. Vista on the regular channels take about 10 seconds to view, hd homerun channels I can watch the recording bar at the bottom move across but its like I am in external pause mode. |

After removing Sagmc and doing a fresh client install this is the error I get with the HD home run channels when I go to add
error in plaback.details: sage.PlaybackException: ERROR (-4.0x80040266). There was a problem rendering the video portion of the content for playback. With that being said I can't even add the HDhomeruns anymore. I removed them and went to re-add them and can no longer do so. Last edited by AJ Bertelson; 12-12-2008 at 12:23 PM. |

What is your video renderer? VMR, VMR9 or Overlay? Whatever it is change it and try again.

Here is another thing I have noticed, sage lags out when I try to watch one of the HD channels. It will actually lag out and crash sage but.... edit 1 If I record the channel then wait about 5-10 seconds I then go back in and watch the channel with no lag. I can live with the issue but the WAF is very low with HD homerun and I just updated to the latest drivers that were released yesterday. edit 2 Didn't work this morning, HDhomerun seems to be very finicky.
