Customizing Online Services

I'm attempting to add a custom Online Services video link to the President-elect's weekly video broadcast on YouTube.

I added the following two lines to the CustomOnlineVideoLinks.properties file:

CustomSources=xPodcastObama,xPodcastCustom
xFeedPodcastCustom/Obama=xPodcastObama,xPodcastCustom;http://www.youtube.com/rss/user/ChangeDotGov/videos.rss

When I try to play one of the videos the error message shown below is displayed.

The predefined example links in the CustomOnlineVideoLinks.properties play normally. What am I doing wrong?

You can't use YouTube feeds as regular podcast feeds. They have to be treated as a special case, so either:

1) Override the xYouTubeChannels/Categories property line in the custom links file

or

2) Add _YTC to the end of the FeedName on the line you posted above. This should be described in your OnlineVideoLinks.properties file. If it isn't in that file, then you have an earlier version of SageTV that doesn't support that suffix & you'll need to try option 1.

Thank you Andy, using _YTC in the feedname fixed my problem.

For others who might want to see an example of adding a custom YouTube feed, I added these two lines to the CustomOnlineVideoLinks.properties file:
