Unhappy Server auto-delete problems

Problem:

When the Server auto-deletes something to make more room, whatever I'm watching gets choppy/freezes until the delete is completed. I know this is what's happening because the hard drive light goes solid for about 15 seconds.

It's a brand new HP quad-core intel with 4GB of RAM running Vista Ultimate. Sage has its own 750GB SATAII drive. 3 tuners (2SD + 1HD) all Hauppauge.

It's like it freezes up the bus. Even if I'm watching a video that's on a different drive, it still freezes the video.

Please help me. The WAF is going down the drain.

Thanks,
Zach

Did you format that drive with 64K clusters? Are you running Sage as a service? Make sure whatever user is logged in for Sage to run (service or running local) has all the privileges it needs to delete those files. Vista tends to be more secure.
