Dual tuners, only seeing 1 in sage tv

I have an MCE500 installed under SBS 2003. 3 gig memory. Both tuners show up under device manager. Only see

1. Hauppauge WinTV PVR PCI II Capture TV Tuner

as a selection choice. Will both TV tuners be used even though only one shows?

Thanks

No, You need to set up the other tuner. Try: goto detailed setup and add tuner, then see if you see another tuner to select.

Actually that is the problem. Only one tuner shows up. It was that way before I had selected even one.

Check sage.properties to see if the tuner is listed on the mmc/ignore_encoders line. If so, delete that line while SageTV is not running, then restart & try again.

Thank you, I've been trying to figure out what happened to my 3rd QAM tuner.

It was in the ignore section as you said.
I removed it. It returns to the ignore category.
I'm sure that the service was stopped and the program wasn't running when I removed it. Why does it keep replacing it in the sage.properties file?

A couple possibilities: either SageTV is having a problem using the tuner, in which case you could try contacting tech support, or the properties file edit isn't really being done properly & you should check this FAQ.
