sage seems not to be switching tuners properly...

hi -

i'm setting up a sage system for the first time and am having some trouble with tuning channels. i have an hvr-1600 (with both the digital and analog inputs enabled) along with a pvr-150.

based on some threads posted here, i tuned the digital channels of the hvr first and all seems fine. in fact, if i don't add any of the analog tuners, sage tunes in the digital channels just fine through the "live tv" or "program guide" choices.

the problem starts when i try to add one of the analog sources, in order to tune the other comcast channels. the autoscan for the analog source works just fine, too. but when i go to "watch live tv," sage will tune in only the analog channels and i just get static if i try to select any of the digital ones.

it seems as if sage is using only the analog tuner and not switching to the digital tuner for the digital channels. (if i go back to setup video sources, select the digital source, i'm able to view the digital channels in the little window of the "source details" screen).

any ideas on what the problem is and how to fix it?

thanks,
tu

(p.s. i posted a similar request in an hvr-1600 thread but there have been no replies and my wife is anxious to get this working)

Assign one guide source to the analog channels and a different guide source for the digital channels. So I have my Comcast basic assigned to the analog channels and Comcast digital extended assigned for the digital tuner. They all show as one in the Sage guide.

excellent, thanks, that seemed to work. so i take it sage uses the guide to determine which tuner to use?

also, on an unrelated note, i was noticing that when i tune the local pbs channel in hd, my cpu usage goes up to something like 90% (all for the sageserver.exe process). is that normal? the responsiveness of my system really slows down as a result.
