Upgrading hardware - how do I not lose everything?

I'm updating the bulk of the hardware in my server (mb/cpu/ram), and will probably experiment with a change to Vista at the same time. B/c of overall issues with my current system, I'm looking to completely wipe windows anyway and basically start from scratch with a clean install of everything. Is there a way I can port over all of my current settings to the new install?

- I'd like recorded tv to still show up as recorded tv - not as imported videos
- I'd like to keep all my favorites, and history of what has and hasn't already been recorded
- I'd like to keep all my imported folders without having to re-do them all
- It'd be nice to not have to redo all my STV settings as well, but I guess this isn't as critical.

Basically, how much of my settings and "history" will Sage be able to remember, how much will I have to re-do, and what should my process be to get it to remember as much as possible?

Thanks!

wiz.bin is really all you need to worry about, the rest is not too bad to completely redo.

There's a FAQ at the top of this forum:
