dual 2250's? supported? works?

Hi all, I am looking at building a new sage server and was going to go with two 2250's for capture.

I want to use 1 for 2 HD OTA feeds and 1 for my 2 Dish network receivers.

Should this work without any problems?

I also want to use my Dvico Gold tuner for a third HD OTA feed. Will this cause any problems?

Thanks
Dennis

Nobody is trying to use two 2250's?

They should be here by this weekend and I plan to re-build my server this weekend. So lets hope they work together.

Dennis

The HVR2250 is rather new and thats why you probably aren't getting the responces you expect. All the other Hauppauge devices work in multiples so I doubt you will have any issues.

You might consider splitting it up and put 1 Sat box on each card, this way any of the 4 encoders you have can use them. The way you discribed only 2 encoders would have access.

I have been using 2 HVR-2250's for about a month and a half now with good results. I'm having minor glitches here and there with blue screen recordings and "No signal" on QAM channels. Trying to work things out with sagetv support though. I'm only connected to basic cable.

I have been using two 2250's for 2 months with no issues. One is connected to OTA and the other is connected to cable. No issues to speak of.

The one thing I have not yet been able to setup is the clear-QAM channels on the cable - I can't figure out how to tune these stations. However, this clear-QAM issue is a well known problem with the 2250 and VMC - from the VMC forums, I believe this problem is mostly related to the 2250 drivers (there are some beta ones kicking around that may improve the clear-QAM stuff).

I use 2 x 2200 (These are the PAL versions of the 2250 I believe)

Currently using both for s-video capture under Vista X64. No issues, seems to work fine.

I have had trouble getting them to do digital OTA and s-video capture at the same time, keep on getting no signal. I am waiting for 6.5.3 to see if that fixes it.

Cheers
