Can Sage get video working as smoothly as in Zoom Player?
Using Cyberlink decoders in both, Zoom Player is silky smooth when playing HD-PVR files and Sage is a little bit choppy. Since using the same decoders, I have to assume this is a Sage issue. EVR has been a great step forward; wondering if things can be better tweaked.
This is on a 3.0ghz P4, ATI AGP 2600pro setup. Using video acceleration in both apps. Loving the EVR though... it's already a LOT better than without. Just wish I could get all the way there to smooth video and using this older PC as a client. |

Sage seems to have more overhead (CPU, Dropped frames, etc) then just building a graph in graphedit.
I went crazy trying to get smooth playback with my ATI 2600XT, then switched to a Nvidia 8600 GTS and I forgot all about those problems. I would suggest a video card upgrade, worked for me. |

The EVR code is going to take tweaking. Everyone who's done it has taken time to perfect it, even Zoom Player and Media Player Classic. I have no doubt it will get done, its just going to take time
