Channel Scan Files
What are all the files I have to delete to do a redo on channel scans? I have deleted the .scn and .frq files, but it seems like it is still remembering the calls signs and channel number. I what it to start from scratch. I'm not sure if that will solve my problem, but sometimes my hauppauge 1600 card will turn channel 8-4-2 instead of 8-4-1 and in one case it switched between them during a recording. My hope is that a new channel scan will solve this problem. I have had this mistune on two separate hauppauge 1600 cards.
Thanks! |

Changes Channel Mid Recording
I'm having problems with Sage tuning to 8-4-2 instead of 8-4-1. This is with Comcast QAM on hauppauge 1600. I have two of these cards in the system. I set it up with channel scan and it works correctly most of the time, but sometimes on either tuner it will tune to 8-4-2 instead of 8-4-1 despite selecting 8-4-1 in the guide or channel setup. They are both found channels and show up in the guide. 8-4-1 is NBC and 8-4-2 is some digital weather only channel. In one case a show switched after about 5 min into the recording. I'm going to redo the channel scan, but it seems pretty weird....

I had this happen again, what do I have to delete to destroy all the memory of a channel scan? I have done the scan file and the .frq file...
Or, do you know what the deal is? I pick a channel and get the correctly channel, fox, 8-2-1, then, a couple days later I get 8-4-1 when it is recording a show. I stop and restart the recording a number of times and then all of a sudden i get 8-2-1...maybe a cable tv problem? Thanks! Last edited by OttoNP; 12-08-2008 at 07:39 PM. |

my guess would be removing part of the encoder or channel information in your sage.properties file but I am NOT an expert. I would backup that file and then try removing some info from it with sage and its service off, then restart...
