What is causing this?

I have a server setup with sage. It's been working fine. But now when I try to change a channel with my hd100 from the guide, that is a channel that uses a STB being controlled by a usb-irt device it won't change the channel.

But, if I start a sage window on the server and choose a channel from the program guide it changes it just fine.

It's like when I use the hd100 it does send the IR command to the STB but the STB doesn't understand it.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

so I put the IR from the usb-irt to the hdprv (stuck it on the IR window) then took antopher IR cable and ran that from the IR port on the hdpvr to the IR windows on the STB. It works. Is that right?

No. That can't be right. You're trying to use the USB-UIRT on your server to change channels on your STB and you have a HD-PVR on your server, correct? The HD100 should just talk to your server and your serv will handle all the channel changes. Are you having the USB-UIRT handle everything? In other words you DID NOT bother intalling the IR software for the HD-PVR and you don't have that configured as working anywhere on your server? You will use one or the other on the server, not both.

I did install the IR software for the hdpvr, but I did not configure it. Does it matter which one I use?

If you're using the USB-UIRT then you wouldn't stick an IR cable from it onto the HD-PVR. You would put that IR blaster cable from the USB-UIRT to the front of your STB. Again-you'll use one or the other. If you're not using the HD-PVR IR then don't install the software and don't stick anything to the HD-PVR or run a IR cable from the HD-PVR. You're not using it.

Believe it or not, this is the only way I can make the IR change channels on the STB. The Hauppauge Ir blaster program won't work by itself and the usb-uirt won't work by itself any more. This way works. I have not sure why the others won't work by themselves.
