Using HVR-2250 with Other Hauppauge Tuners?
I emailed Hauppauge last week but they still have not responded and my tuner arrives in two days. Does anyone here know whether the drivers for the 2250 are compatible with the HVR-1800 and HVR-1600? I'm hoping to install the 2250 in my current system without having to remove the other two cards or putting it in my main pc and doing network encoding.

I use both the 1800 and the 2250. I am useing drivers that I downloaded from the Haup website. They work perfectly together in my system. I use all three tuners for OTA ATSC reception only.

Which drivers did you download? I would assume you installed the 2250 drivers. Did you uninstall the other drivers first or just leave them in along with the 2250 drivers?

I put the 1800 in first and installed the downloaded drivers (4.6 I think). Shut down the system installed the 2250 and installed the downloaded 2250 drivers 4.7. I think the 4.7 CD has the latest drivers for both the 1800 and 2250 though.

Thanks! That's what I needed to know. I've already updated the 1800/1600 with the latest drivers and downloaded the 2250 drivers. Hopefully everything will go smoothly.

My dad's system is working fine with 2x 1600 and 1x 2250, but currently I only have them recording analog TV. (didn't have time to work thru the remapping of the HDTV channels) Had the 1600s running for 1+ year, added the 2250, installed drivers, added the analog 2250 tuner to the line-up. QED.

Awesome! I'm not worried now. I was concerned because Hauppauge has different driver downloads for 1800/1600 and 2250. My main reason for getting this is to record dual analog whilst troubleshooting HD. This will replace my digital tuners recording responsibilities until I sort out the HD problems. I'm tired of having to go to Hulu to watch shows that recorded badly in HD. Once I get the HD stuff sorted out, I'll be able to switch the 2250 over to qam. Seems like the best of both worlds.
