SageTV Screen does not look right
I have this problem on two computers where the menu looks wierd and the cursor jumps around slowly and erratically. Please see the screenshot as I have no idea what to do to fix this problem and I have already tried reinstalling Sage. I have XP/SP1 on this computer and XP/SP2 on another. It works fine on my other computers.
Thanks, Mike |

Latest video drivers/Java?

The latest is there is simply no "block cursor" with Sage. What is wrong with the user interface? I uninstalled Java, uninstalled Sage and reinstalled and still no good. Also, if I go to sage recordings then all it is just a complete mess. I'll then move the arrows and it refreshes. It's bizarre. I'm thinking it might have something to do with the decoders or something in setup but I have completely removed the sage directory and reinstalled and I still have a problem. So, I'm thinking maybe it is a registry problem of some sorts.
Anyone? Thanks, Mike |

Turn off 3D acceleration in Sage and find another set of video drivers for your card. Make sure you have the latest DirectX runtime installed.

It was the 3d Acceleration that was the problem. What I do not understand is if it is enabled by default because I completely reinstalled everything.

Now I get a PlayBack Exception Error every time I try and play a video.
I have installed the latest drivers and Java and I cannot play a video with my laptop Sage Client. This is HORRIBLY FRUSTRATING! What can I do? Mike |

I can play imported MP4 videos from the library (not sure about mpeg) but I cannot play from Sage Recordings or Watch TV.

Finally got it to work. For some reason there were two sage folders in the program directory. I'm thinking that maybe at some time the laptop was running SageTV and not SageTVClient. I think Sage was using some files from one folder and some from another. I deleted the folders and the sageclient properties files and reinstalled the latest version.....finally all is well with my antique laptop for kitchen use.
Thanks, Mike |
