Which version of Sage for Win2k3?

This may be a painfully obvious noob question....

I am currently running the trial version of Sage 6.4 for Windows on my Win2k3 server box using a HDHomerun tuner. I have about a week left. Overall it works pretty good, but occasionally it will crash. I have been unable to determine the cause. Except for Sage occasionally crashing, the box is rock solid.

I am wondering if Sage for Windows Home Server would be a better choice. I heard that WHS is a modified version of Win2k3 server... Is this true? What are the differences between Sage for Windows and Sage for WHS?

The downloads are different, but in the Sage store, there is not an option to purchase Sage for WHS.

Just trying to figure this out...

Thanks.

I run the latest version of Sage on a Win2003 Server box and it's rock solid, as were several previous versions. You may have a different problem.

What does the event log in Windows say?

just stick to the regular windows / non WHS version. its fine besides you need to install WHS in order to get the WHS working You need to turn debug logging on and see whats causing sage to crash, most likely it "could" be the heap setting, it seems to be the most common thing around here.

but he knows, but the logging should tell you

Thanks for the reply.

When Sage crashes there are NO relevant entries in the event log. I have Visual Studio 2008, and when Sage does crash, VS pops up a dialog offering to debug, which is useless...

Thanks. I will stick with the regular version.

How do I turn on debug logging? Maybe I'm blind, but I couldn't find it in the settings.

Edit to say that I found out how to enable it.
