HD-PVR SPDIF Audio Jitter

Has anyone been able to solve the SPDIF Audio Jitter problem? I'm experiencing the same thing (RCA is fine).

I have only one audio filter which plays the SPID audio correctly. The rest have an echo.

Arcsoft Audio Decoder HD. I believe it is part of Totalmedia Extreme.

Supposedly, a new hardware Rev of the HD PVR (?E1) is required to solve this problem, at least with respect to the FIOS TV audio signal. I received an RMA from Hauppauge a couple of days ago to exchange my C2 HD PVR for the new Rev and will test it as soon as I receive the new box.

Wow, does that means I'll have to RMA my otherwise working fine HD PVR to get 5.1 from my FIOS box?

How did you go about the RMA? I emailed their support asking for advice and any solutions and haven't heard back (yet).

From what I hear, Hauppauge tech support is getting innundated with RMA requests because of the FIOS audio HD problem. In addition, as I tried to indicate in my previous message, I'm not sure that the new hardware rev completely solves this problem and/or doesn't introduce a new problem. I suspect that Hauppauge really wants to make sure that the problem is fixed before embarking on a mass exchange of units.

I initially contacted Hauppauge tech support a day or two after the beta driver came out to report the audio distortion and have been in contact with them ever since (including initially testing various configurations and sending them sample files) as they tried to isolate and resolve this issue. It was through this contact that I received the RMA.
