Question Viewing downloaded MPG file on PVR350

I'm using recorder with a PVR350 and have the TV connected to the TVout of the card. Everything is working perfectly with files that I capture using the Sage Recorder. However if I try to play an MPG file that I've downloaded from the net, the image only shows on the computer output. The recorder program shows it fine in a window on the desktop, but the TV out goes to the color bars and shows nothing else. What's up?

What format is the MPEG? My guess is that the file is MPEG-1 and not MPEG-2.

Hmmm.. Yes the file I tried was MPEG1. It's odd that the Sage softare can decode it in the PC window, but not update the PVR output.

Hmmm again. I tried to run the same MPEG 1 file using the WinTV32 application. The audio played fine and the video showed on the TVout, but it was corrupted. I guess Sage, or the PVR drivers just aren't compatible with MPEG1. Too bad, I have a lot of MPEG1 content.
