IRBlaster and Sage
I am using a hauppauge usb-pvr with a pace 551p (i think it's similar to the scientific explorer 3000 series). The IRBlaster program does a fantastic job working with Sage with changing channels.
The issue I have is that sometimes the receiver shuts off when I am on the road and I can't get it back on again (Occasionally, I can get the IRblaster to do it, after rebooting). I can call home and get someone to put it back on again (if I am lucky). Even if it is turned on again, the volume is quite low and it is 4:3 mode with the greybars. My question: is there a way through Sage or otherwise to keep it on, to control the volume on the receiver, and to get rid of the grey sidebars (# sign on the remote)? Any suggestions, even grumpy ones, accepted! |
