HD Homerun only 1 tuner in sage
I can only pick and add tuner 0 in sage, but both turn out and work fine in HD configuration tools. I've tried channel scans many times. This happened when I tried to switch them from ATSC over the air to QAM on cable...

Shut down SageTV and check your sage.properties file for this entry: mmc/ignore_encoders=NVIDIA DualTV YUV Capture|Realtek AC97 Audio|NVIDIA DualTV YUV Capture 2|
If your SiliconDust HDHR tuner is included, remove it and save the file. Otherwise, it should be available in the ADD NEW SOURCE selection when running SOURCE SETUP. |

I had posted in the software forum asking about this very line in the properties file - why are those NVIDIA tuners listed in that line for (apparently) everyone? No one answered, at least with any definitive answer. I did a search for the tuner name and found an old thread from years ago that indicated that those tuners do work with Sage...or at least DID... yet the software comes with a default line saying to ignore them? Just curious. The basis of my question on the other board was that my properties line also mentions an old cheapo USB webcam that I have attached to my server (it works but has never been used for anything). I was asking if anyone knew whether I could remove it from that line and have it become an available "tuner".

Why not just remove it from the line, and see if Sage will allow you to use it as a "tuner"? I doubt it will, but I think the reason no one ever responded is that no one has ever tried it (may not have wanted to). The real question will be is whether Sage will see it as a capture device and whether it will allow you to assign a "channel" to it.

Just an FYI to the original post. I had this exact same problem with my HDHR. I posted on the SiliconDust support forum. They had me enable logging for them, delete the tuners from Sage, and then go through the entire channel scan on each tuner again. So, I went into the HDHR setup, did a channel scan on tuner 0, then hit apply, then did a channel scan on tuner 1, made one kinsignificant change to activate the apply button, but apply again, then exited out. I then went back into Sage and re-added both tuners and everything worked perfectly.

BTW: SageTV has been changed to prevent adding the HDHR tuners to the ignore property. This should be in the next release/beta, whenever that happens to be.
