Problem setting up to recieve HD channels
My cable provider has their HD channels numbered in an odd way. For example one of the channels is 121-3.
When I do my video setup and select my source (RTec - a small local provider, I live in a one horse town, but this provider does a real nice job and their entire system is less then 8 years old) it does not display this channel on the list of available channels. When I do a channel scan it does not find the channel. I have no splitters on my incoming cable and my Hauppauge HVR-1600 Signal Noise Ratio tool says I have an average just above 31 so I am believe that my signal is good. If I plug in my TV to the cable directly I can see the HD channel just fine. So I basically have 2 issues. 1) The HD channel is not on the list, 2) The scan doesn't find the HD channel Does anyone have any suggestions on what I could try? Thanks, Shawn Ramirez |

HVR-1600 QAM was a PITA...hopefully a current user can post the latest steps to get it working. There is a long thread on this subject. Anyway you can return it and get an HDHomeRun?
