2nd monitor issue
I downloaded a trial version of SageTv (it's been a couple years since I checked it out). It installed OK (after disconnecting my wireless mouse), but I still haven't set up my HDTV card. I was just playing with watching a video last night.
I have this installed on my laptop, with a second monitor. I want to use the external monitor for TV/Video and the main laptop screen for other computing. For some reason, the Sage app opens in full screen mode on the external computer, and in a re-sizeable window on my lt screen. When I tried to drag the window from my lt screen to the external, it just killed the external display. Is there a setting somewhere that I am missing? |

You need to look at the video card drivers and display setup for this. Running dual monitors requires support from the drivers, and they often have special settings for stuff like video on a second monitor. It may be that it's not supported due to the capabilities of the graphics card.
The only thing in Sage that might help is the display properties. VMR9 may work while Overlay may not due to the nature of how they run through the graphics card.

Interesting. I have an nVidia card in my Laptop, and it does have a "full screen video" setting that was set to "auto". I changed it to disabled, and now it displays correctly.
thanks. |
