VMR9 no longer working after fresh install
I did a fresh install of vista tonight & got the error
"sage.playbackException: ERROR (-4,0x80040217)" while tryng to play live tv. I searched the forum & changed over from VMR9 to default & everything worked OK. I also tried Overlay & this worked too. The question is why did this work previously on VMR9 & no longer works after a fresh install? Using latest sagetv , with all drivers up to date - vista 32 SP1. Hardware is in my sig

Do you have an ATI card? I always have to set deinterlacing to automatic in the ATI control panel or I get that error with VMR9.

Sounds like its might be my 4850 then. Where in the ati control panel is the setting for deinterlacing? UPDATE Nevermind found it & now everything is working fine with VMR9 -
