Same problem. I upgraded to XP SP3 (from SP2), installed Java 6 Update 11, uninstalled the many old Java platforms, including 1.4.0, uninstalled DivX 6, installed XviD and DivX 7. I shoulda known it would break!

Anyways, it works now, after turning off overlay mode in SageTV (Settings > Detailed Setup > Video/Audio > Video Render > Default) ::shrug:: my other settings are as such:

Video Renderer: Default
MPEG2 Video Decoder Filter: SageTV MPEG Video Decoder
DXVA MPEG Mode: Defualt
DXVA Deinterlacing: Default
DScaler Deinterlacing Filter: Disabled
Audio Renderer: Default
MPEG2 Audio Decoder Filter: SageTV MPEG Audio Decoder
Audio Playback Delay: 0

This is on an Nvidia GeForce 3 Ti 200, AMD Athlon XP 1700, 512MB ram running SageTV 6.4

Good luck.

Ok I will try disabling overlay. Has it been working for you since the 20th?

Same problem here

How have others got on with this...? I have the same error. Changing the video renderer to default makes no difference at all.

Not sure what happened, i was advised that xp sp3 update was available but clicked on do not install.

Any ideas greatfully received....
