tvrecord folder, take two (not showing up)

Hi,

I've previously posted about this and since then I've done some more checking. I have two sagetv servers (one runs as a network encoding server). Each server has a partition formated with 64K blocks for recording tv. Each server shares the partition as tvrecord and tvrecord2 respectivly. Each server runs sage 6.4.

The master sagetv server can read/write the unc path for its own tvrecord share and the slave sagetv servers tvrecord2 share.

The slave sagetv server can also read both unc paths.

Neither server has any kind of firewall.

The problem I have is the share on the master server works fine, however when I add the share on the slave (network encoder) server as an additional tv recording directory it does not show up, I do not see the additional free space available for recordings.

So far I've run logging on the master server and the logs reported no issues.

Also as a test I temporarily created a tvrecord3 share on the master server's system drive, added that on both servers as a tv record folder and guess what? it worked?!?

I'm using unc paths on both machines of course. The client I use is a third machine so both these servers are true servers and used for nothing else.

I want to hear from anyone here who has used a network share as a tv recording folder.... anyone had any luck on this?
