How to set a default encoder?

Hi all.
I have a Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-1600, with the analog port hooked up, not the digital one.
I also have a Hauppauge HD PVR hooked up to record HD.

How I have it now is I have the cable hooked right the the HVR-1600 to record channels 2 - 70.
I have the HD PVR hooked up to the output from the cable box to record everything above 70.

What I'd like to do is have the HD PVR set up for all channels as well, but if I choose a channel from 2-70 use the HVR-1600 for the recording.
That way if I want to record two shows at once on those lower channels I can use both recorders.

If I set up the HD PVR for all channels, it uses that for everything.

Ok, this thread can be removed.. I found my answer here: http://forums.sagetv.com/forums/showthread.php?t=36217

I basically want to set the 1600 as my default tuner so it will use it for the lower channels.

Hopefully that makes sense and thanks for any info!

Run a search on setting the tuner priorities in the Sage.properties file.

If you set the HVR-1600 up as the higher priority tuner (larger number) it should default to that for any recording in its channel range.

Use the encoder_merit property (p. 236 of the manual, or search the forum for encoder_merit).
