HD tuner question
I recently purchased an HDHomerun, HD-PVR and I'm waiting for the Hauppauge 2250 to become available again. I know the HDHR and the 2250 (Digital side) capture the direct stream from my QAM cable source and the HD-PVR actually encodes the input.
My question is when the networks move their source from MPEG-2 TS to H.264 will these devices become obsolete or will they still just copy the stream bit by bit?
