Channel changing via Firewire

Hi all,
I'm sure this has been asked a million times, but after scouring the forums for a long time I've found a bunch of different threads and a lot of broken links.

I'm looking for instructions on how to set up firewire channel changing with my SA Explorer 3250HD STB.

I've found a bunch of instructions for recording video via firewire, I found the application post for the multi tuners, but I can't find anything for setting up one tuner to change via Firewire.

I have a sage box with a SD tuner and a HD-PVR to record High Def stuff.
The IR blaster does not seem reliable, so I'd like to set up the one HD-PVR to the one STB so I can change channels via Firewire.

If someone could point me in the right direction or let me know what I'm missing please let me know.

You would set up firewire channel changing on a single STB the same way you would for multiple STBs, except that you would stop after configuring the first one.
