Moving recordings from a v4 PC to V6.4.8 PC
I would like to move all of my recordings/favorites from my v4.1.3.67 PC to a new PC I just built with 6.4.8. I plan on retaining all of my Video Recording Directories on the new PC.
I've read the FAQ on moving recordings to a new PC and as I understand it the procedures mentioned apply only if you are moving from one PC to another with the same version. How do I proceed when the versions are so different? Thanks in advance for any advice... Jeff

You would proceed pretty much the same way. The v6.4 installation should be able to use the older wiz.bin & convert the data as needed.

Thanks for the quick reply.
So, I would follow the method under advanced_video_file_recovery method, for SageTV version 6.3.9 and later as that applies to the version that will be doing the conversion, correct? Hopefully, I can get to this in the next week or so. I'll post my experiences... Jeff
