moving tv recordings to new computer?

I purchased 2nd sagetv media center to install in a new computer.
(because I could not run two dual tuner cards in old one)
Now I have 2nd up and running but I need to import tv recordings from old
to new computer. Copied over files and thumbnails (renamed to show new path) but so far new install does not show imported tv recordings.
besides the two things I did above, what else do I need to do to
have ALL the recordings show up in "sagetv recordings"

There is a FAQ that covers moving recordings.

Do you plan to have both systems active, or just the new one? If your intention is to have both servers share recordings, then it won't work because the IDs used in their separate databases will not match up. If you need to have 2 systems set up to use all your tuners, then consider making one of them a network encoder that is controlled by the main server. That way, you will have a single server that tracks all your recordings. Appendix G in the PDF manual talks about setting that up.

If the new one is taking over all recording duties, then the FAQ should help get things moved.

BUT
I have not finished watching programs that where recorded last night.
I don't have time to watch on old machine.
Actually I can (mpg) but my wife only sees menu via mediamvp.
