Out of interest, stuttering haupp s2 card resolved.

Hi,

I have an intel based sagetv server (2.5ish core duo) that runs a haupp nova dual tunner really well.... problem was my haupp s2 sat card... man did that thing give me problems with stuttering on both sd and hd channels!! At one point I found I could re-install the latest drivers for it, it would work a while then start stuttering again!!

Out of desperation I setup a spare AMD based machine with sagetv setup as a network encoder and put the s2 card in there..... guess what? perfect sat channels for over a week now!! I've given up trying to figure why it works, esp given this setup gives me more future expansion options and will only cost me another sagetv license....

Just thought I'd mention this in case there is anyone elese out there who cant for the life of them figure why card X keeps giving them issues.... my answer was perhaps its just one of those mystery jinx hardware issues.... perhaps my intel gigabyte board handles interrupts differently to my amd abit motherboard?

Thanks for posting this information. If possible, this would even be more useful it you post the configuration (especially the model of the motherboard) of the working and non-working systems.
